“We are visiting from California and hired Reed twice to take our kids out on a couple of short trips. Both times he knocked it out of the park.
The first trip was a little bit larger group, and he was able to keep the kids happy and ensure everyone came home catching fish, whether it was pike or perch. The kids were all at the age of just graduating from bobber fishing to casting, so they were still learning. Reed did an amazing job teaching them with patience and adjusting his approach based on their ability.
The second trip was just my daughter and I, and we had a little bit more focused effort. Reed was able to get my daughter a couple of monster smallmouth and another nice pike to top it off, all on another short trip.
It’s obvious that Reed knows the lakes and fish extremely well in this area. His patience and demeanor with the kids was phenomenal. I cannot recommend him more to anyone visiting the area or just looking to try and chase down some trophies.”
“Had a memorable and incredible day fishing the Presque Isle area with Reed. After the Boundary Waters fires in 2026 forced our group of four to pivot to new plans at the last minute, Reed was able to accommodate us as a fishing guide in new waters we had never explored in Northern Wisconsin.
He was a wealth of knowledge for the area waters, not only putting us on fish with the right tackle, but equipping us for future Boundary Waters trips with techniques and concepts that will serve us for years to come.
If you like keeping score, we ended the day with 35 fish landed in the boat and a nice meal of fried fish on the dinner table.
